As the Lower Village Counselor Cameron aims to achieve the goal of supporting each student towards social/emotional and academic success. A Bay Area native he has been living in Oakland for the past 5 years, where he worked within the community. Cameron completed his masters program at St. Mary's College of California, where he was graduated Summa Cum Laude, and received the Lasallian Counselor's Award from the St. Mary's school of education. Fulfilling his counseling internship at Nea, Cameron gained an in depth experience with the school's culture and community, and he values the multicultural, small community environment.

In his free time, he loves to experience everything the Bay Area has to offer. Cameron often find himself hiking and camping in the Oakland hills, attending museums, art exhibits, and concerts. He also works part time at restaurants in Oakland, where he is able to fuel a passion for the culinary arts and participate in the wonderfully diverse food culture of the Bay Area. Cameron also enjoys reading and playing the drums.

Cameron has past experience in classrooms and in special education where he worked as a paraprofessional for two years. Through a combination of classroom presentations, small group counseling, and individual interventions he will support all learners and families during their elementary years. Cameron greatly looks forward to this 2018-2019 school year, and if there is anything he can provide as support please feel free to contact him.
