Nea Daily Lunch Program

School meals are still available during Distance Learning. Nea CLC works with the AUSD Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) to provide lunch and breakfast options for all learners.

Free Meal Program extended!

Good news! The USDA is extending its free meal program (the one AUSD uses for its summer meal offerings) through December 31st, 2020. Any youth up to age 18 can pick up meals at AUSD distribution sites. No ID is needed. Parents can pick up meals without a child present. You will receive multiple days' worth of meals.

We still encourage families to apply for the National School Lunch Free & Reduced Price Program, because qualifying for that program confers other benefits, such as reduced prices for PSAT, SAT, ACT, and AP exams, and free college applications. To apply, please go to the AUSD School Nutrition and Fitness web page.

A message to Parents/Guardians from the FANS Program:

We take pride in our program and it shows!  Our amazing FANS staff work hard to provide your children with nutritious meals that they will enjoy. As per federal nutrition standards (see below), we offer students a variety of protein choices and grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and milk. We make them as tasty as possible so students get the nutrition they need to succeed at school. We are excited about the menu plans for this year and hope you will encourage your child to eat with us!
