ACLC Board Calendar


The ACLC Board is charged with the policy-making that affects many aspects of the Alameda Community Learning Center. 

The Board meets at least monthly, with the Finance, Program Evaluation, Personnel and Curriculum committees (committee schedule below) responsible to the ACLC Board.

The parents, facilitators, learners and at-large community ACLC Board members all play a role in representing their stakeholders on school policies, but they are also required by law to vote in the best interest of the school.

The CLCS Board delegates the ACLC Board with governance on these issues:
• Graduation Standards, as long as they meet minimum chartering agency standards
• Budget proposals subject to CLCS approval
• Strategic planning for ACLC academic program subject to CLCS approval
• Day to day facilities issues

The ACLC Board uses school data to establish, evaluate and improve the education program and school policies. Data will include, but is not limited to, test scores and parent, learner, and facilitator satisfaction surveys.

You can participate in ACLC's governance by joining or attending an ACLC Committee meeting in Finance, Program Evaluation, Personnel or Curriculum.  
These committees meet once monthly throughout the school year and welcome parent and learner participation. See schedule below for dates/times.
