Together We Make a Difference at Nea!
It takes contribution, involvment and commitment from our Nea Community to give our kids better access to music, art, field trips, computers and so much more!
Charter schools are funded by the State of California. But, like our state public education at all levels--preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and higher education--funding from the state is declining and subject to delays and shortfalls.
On average, parent communities at California charter schools give 3-10% of the school’s operating budget to support their schools. For Nea, this translates to at least $100,000 in community support each year.
Music and art instruction, technology support and upgrades, and other programs only exist at Nea because parents fund them every year, including:
- Music education for every child in both villages.
- Important technology purchases for the school.
- Memorable assemblies
- Cool field trips, fun playground and PE equipment, and much, much more!
