FACILITATORS AND STAFF
PATRICIA WILLIAMSON
Has been at ACLC since...:
August 2005
Why she works where he works:
"I am interested in working at ACLC because I most enjoy working
in a small learning community. For me if I know the learners first as
people, I can more effectively help them reach their goals. I hope to
learn as much from the children as they learn from me."
Teaching credentials and experience:
" I started my career training to be a wildlife biologist. Towards the
end of my time in college (Where I earned a Bachelors of Science in
Wildlife Biology) it became clear to me that the work that I should be
doing is working with young people as a teacher.
Previous
to working at ACLC, II worked at Wood school for 19 years. While at
Wood I helped start the Wood Academy. This was a technology based
district wide program, a small learning community on the Wood School
campus. I currently hold a teaching credential in science and math. "
Thoughts about ACLC:
"I asked my son James (who attends ACLC) about what he thought about
ACLC and he said "ACLC is the closest you can get to real life in a
school" I couldn't have said it better. I enjoy working in a democratic
educational environment and growing as a person and an educator. "
