Alameda Community Learning Center (ACLC) is housed at Encinal High School (EHS) onthe West End of the Island City of Alameda. The ACLC was opened in 1996 as collaboration between the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen and The Alameda Unified School District. It was planned and executed as a district wide resource for 150 twelve through eighteen year old learners interested in alternative educational experience that encourages self-directed, experiential learning, collaborative learning, learner voice and educational equity in a technology-rich environment.
